Outpatient Services

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation’s Marlton campus offers an unparalleled continuum of care from inpatient to outpatient to community re-integration. Our outpatient programs and services focus on helping individuals build on the functional gains they made during their inpatient stay, as well as providing a range of services to those who have injuries or other conditions that did not require inpatient rehabilitation.

Our core services – for individuals with stroke, brain injury, neurologic conditions, orthopedic conditions, limb loss (amputation), and sports and work-related injuries include:

Physiatry ConsultationsPhysiatrists, board certified physicians who specialize in physical medicine and rehabilitation, evaluate individuals and establish an outpatient therapy program to best address needs and goals.

Physical Therapy – Treatment, delivered by our experienced Physical Therapists, focuses on improving mobility, strength, range of motion and independence; decreasing pain; and providing education to maintain overall health.

Occupational Therapy – Our expert Occupational Therapists help individuals gain the skills and strategies to perform daily activities as independently as possible by providing the training, education and adaptive techniques.

Speech Therapy – Our skilled Speech-Language Pathologists provide treatment and strategies to help individuals overcome language and communication issues, memory deficits, challenges with concentration and/or attention, and swallowing disorders.

Neuro-Optometry Services – A range of neuro-optometric services are available to help individuals with vision-related deficits related to stroke, brain injury or other neurologic/physical injuries.

Neuropsychology Services – Through evaluation, testing and counseling, our neuropsychologists help individuals understand their injury and any residual challenges, and adapt to life ahead, as well as addressing any cognitive and/or family issues.

Aquatic Exercise Program – Individuals, particularly those who may be able to tolerate a land-based program, may benefit from our unique aquatic program which provides treatment and exercise in our therapeutic pool.
